RIDS Robot Keying

RIDS Robot Keying is an optional software module of VICOR’s Receivables Information Delivery System (RIDS) platform. Designed to automate the labor-intensive and error-prone task of manually entering invoice and remittance information, Robot Keying uses advanced optical character recognition (OCR) and intelligent character recognition (ICR) technologies to read machine-generated and hand generated characters on invoices and remittance advices with columnar data before converting them into digital data. Robot Keying helps processors significantly reduce manual keystrokes, increase data entry accuracy, and increase data entry volume without adding full-time employees. In 2003 alone, Robot Keying saved VICOR clients nearly one billion keystrokes.

RIDS Robot Keying comes with two additional optional software modules. VICOR’s Remitter Lookup module enables processors to save keystrokes on repeat remitter names while increasing the productivity of operational resources and reducing the chances for data entry error. VICOR’s Forms Processing is a forms definition and processing application that enables processors to automate the data capture process from pre-defined documents such as those found in transportation, government, and healthcare processing.
