Distributed Capture
VICOR’s Distributed Capture solution extends
beyond the traditional boundaries of image and data
transaction capture in support of a Check 21 environment
and further enables the transition from paper to electronic
payment processing.
One of the benefits of Check 21 is the ability to geographically
separate check collection and presentment from check
processing. VICOR’S flexible, Distributed Capture
solution supports a "capture everywhere" scenario
by permitting any entity to image checks and associated
remittance documents close to the source of origination.
Once captured, the images can be securely delivered
via the Internet to an established RIDS network, any
legacy lockbox system, image exchange networks and substitute
check or truncation systems as well as enterprise archives—all
while ensuring image quality and usability. So, whether
you want your customers to capture payments in their
environment or you have designated other processing
sites or a bank branch down the street to image incoming
payments, VICOR’s Distributed Capture helps processors
meet regional customer requirements and speed up processing
time.
Your corporate customers or bank designated capture
locations can rapidly install VICOR’s Distributed
Capture software since existing computers and scanners
are leveraged. Training is minimal as standard web browsers
employing a GUI interface are supported. And because
managing receivables is really all about the data, VICOR’s
solution supports both check and remittance document
image capture for complete delivery of remittance information
to your customers in an accelerated fashion. Once these
distributed items are received in a RIDS central processing
location, additional data entry procedures are performed.
When complete, the items are merged with any other paper
or electronic transactions for consolidated daily reporting
to your customers.
